From Idea to Start-up: A three-Stage Program for High School Students

The “From Idea to Start-up” program is designed to help high school students turn their ideas into successful start-ups. Through a series of three stages, students will learn about entrepreneurship, develop their ideas, and launch their own businesses. The program will provide students with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to succeed as young entrepreneurs. By the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to launch their own businesses and make a positive impact in their communities.

*All classes are one-hour and 1-on-1 sessions designed and individualized for students.

Stage 0: Program Orientation (2 Classes/1 Weeks)

This orientation is designed to give students an overview of the program, introduce students to the resources available to students, and answer any questions students may have.  “From Idea to Start-up” is a three-stage program that will take students through the process of developing your business idea, creating a business plan, and launching your own start-up. Students will have access to workshops, mentorship, and resources to help you along the way.

Stage 1: Ideation (8 Classes/4 Weeks)

The first stage of the program is focused on ideation. Students will learn about entrepreneurship, innovation, and the process of ideation. They will be encouraged to think creatively and develop unique business ideas that solve real-world problems. The program will provide students with resources such as workshops, brainstorming sessions, and mentorship to help them refine and develop their ideas.

Stage 2: Business Planning (20 Classes/10 Weeks)

The second stage of the program is focused on business planning. Students will learn how to develop a business plan, including market research, product development, and financial planning. They will also learn about legal and ethical considerations for starting a business, such as trademarks, patents, and copyrights. The program will provide students with resources such as workshops, mentorship, and access to business professionals to help them develop their business plans.

Stage 3: Launch (30 Classes/15 Weeks)

The third stage of the program is focused on launching the business. Students will learn about marketing, sales, and customer service. They will also learn how to pitch their business ideas to potential investors and customers. The program will provide students with resources such as mentorship, access to business professionals, and opportunities to showcase their businesses at local events.
